Who we are
Sworn Record is a video production studio operating in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. This policy covers swornrecord.ca and the enquiry form on it.
What we collect
Only what you type into the form on our contact page: your name, your firm, your email address, your phone number if you give it, your practice area, and whatever you write in the message box.
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site, and we do not use cookies to profile you.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the work. That is the only reason. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Who sees it
The people who run the studio. Your form submission is delivered to us by email through our hosting and email providers, who process it on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and for seven years afterwards, which is what Canadian business record keeping expects of us.
Footage and photography
Video and photographs we shoot for a client belong to that engagement. We do not publish a client's footage as an example of our work without that client's written permission, and permission given once can be withdrawn.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email us and we will do it. If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and enquiries reach us over encrypted connections. No system is perfect, so please do not send confidential client details or anything privileged through this form.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
